shoes = outside

I'm glad the weather is getting better because Asa is OBSESSED with going outside. He figured out very quickly that putting on shoes usually meant we were doing something outdoors. He follows me around now going "shoes?, shoes?, shoes?, shoes?, shoes?, shoes?, shoes?," then when I put them on he gets this real high pitched innocent voice and says, "go outsseye?" Anyway, he LOVES pointing out dog poop and going "ewwwwwww, blechh," so we decided we better get him more things to do out there. Here he is with his new sandbox. He loves it. He still checks out the dog poop first thing though.

Here he is atop the climber/slide/fort thing we got him. Where he's standing in this photo is about 4' off the ground. Sunday, he started pushing up above the crawl hole you see and lifting his feet off the ground, which we kept telling him not to do. Eventually, it happened, he flipped head first over the top of it--but never fear, mommy jumped from the chair and caught him just before he hit the ground. The only casualty was the last of my cheap pinot and the logo wine glass I was using--a small price for avoiding the emergency room.
