An Ordinary Day

Here is Matt getting some last minute lovin' in before we headed out to the Motley Crue concert for his birthday. Our good friend Camille stayed with Asa so we could rock it out with the Crue.

Here we are going on a walk. It's been pretty chilly here. Believe it or not, Asa was asleep less than five minutes after this photo was taken.

We all have such high hopes for our little ones! Maybe someday they'll be a famous scientist, or quarterback for an NFL team. Someday they could help cure cancer! OR....

Asa's cousins come to visit!

Asa's three cousins and Aunt Jana and Uncle Shannon came to Dallas last weekend for the SMU game and got to spend the night at our house. We all had a great time.

Here is Asa chillin' in his car seat. We went to get all kinds of good taco fixin's for everyone's visit.

Cousin Courtney is AWESOME with babies! She held Asa a lot and he thought that was pretty neat.

Here are Lainy and Cassidy in Matt's lap. They raided his closet while he was gone and found his secret stash of Tech houseshoes.

Asa in the yard

We were at our neighbor's house across the street cooking out in the front yard (how ghetto is that?) and my friend's brother got some good shots of Asa. (Santa, if you're out there, I want a Nikon D-50 for Christmas, these photos are great!)

Race for the Cure

We all walked in the Dallas Race for the Cure this year. There were more than 24,000 people there. It was freezing that morning (we had to meet up with my work folks at 6:45 a.m.!) Asa did great and enjoyed all the people watching. Here are Matt and Asa getting ready to go:

About to cross the starting line!

All bundled up during the race:

New photos of Asa

Asa loves to hear daddy's favorite story...Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel. It had been a long time since Daddy read this story, and apparently he had forgotten just how long Mike Mulligan talks about his steam shovel. (He hasn't learned how to cheat and skip a few pages yet.)

Thanks Aunt Erin and Uncle Kevin for my cool Hawaiian outfit. Sorry I'm just now getting the photo up!

It's been getting cold at night so we have to bundle Asa up quick after bathtime. I think Asa just realized how cold it really was in this pic:
